    Doc,

I enjoy most of your posts so I hope this one was an attempt at tongue-in-cheek. After watching the video, I wanted to commit seppuku!

I was hoping he was going to smash him with the lighting truss just so I could hear the announcer shout "foreign object!"

Gladiator robots would seem made to order for the semi-formalized warfare of two or three thousand years ago, where two opposing armies would send out their respective champions to do individual combat and the two sides would, presumably, accept the results. I realize the kids are adapting technology for amusement purposes, but how many of them think Robocop really is the future of warfare? It seems like such a technological dead end when the real-life solution would be demolish the whole building, opponents and all, from a few miles away...

Is it really a robot if there's a human operator inside?
