I have been working for a US robotics company for close to 20 years in the US. I am lucky enough to attend training at the Staubli headquarters in Faverges France this week working with their new 6 axis manufacturing robots. I just wanted to say I got to spend about 4 hours crawling around their machine shop. What a world class facility. They are doing much of their machining, grinding, annealing in house. Got to see some really awesome machines running full tilt. I would say over 50% of the equipment are being fed by at least one or two 6 axis robots they manufacture. It's a shame they didn't allow us to take photos or videos. All machines were in beautiful condition and interestingly enough all painted in matching colors. Even two brand new Mori turning centers were in matching green. It's great to see advanced modern manufacturing thriving in Europe first hand.
