Default Question about TOS SU32/750 lathe, etc...

    Hello,

I am thinking about buying a TOS SU32/750 lathe.

Just wondering if anyone has one, and based on their experiences, if they have any advice for things to be on the lookout for regarding this machine.

Is there a manual online somewhere for download? No problem what language.

Does anyone know what the differences are between SU and SN of TOS lathes. Are the Trencin models better?

Please do comment if you have any feedback or suggestions about TOS lathes of any kind (for example SN40 models).

Thank you & happy new year,

    Paul

we use a SN32/1000 in our company. it's bought new in 1998 for secondary operations.
It was favorit over Taiwanese and Chinese lathes.
overall it is a good lathe, with little trouble sofar.
these troubles concerned the DRO and a hand wheel.
the cross feed handle is a convinient feature.
the thing I dislike about the lathe is the limited turning diameter over the cross slide and the diameter of the cross feed handwheel.
I used the lathe for several times myself, but had no trouble in operating. It's a good machine to have in your barn.

The differences between SU snd SN series are not known to me.

    Here is the manufacturer's website-
    trens

under products, they list the current SN/32, and show its specifications.

They currently list only one SU series lathe, and it is a huge "oil country" sized machine.

The SN32 on the site of TOS is exactly the same as we have.
obviously nothing changed the last 12 years.
