Schaublin 135 back-gear lever removal?

The shaft behind the handle goes right through the spindlehead to the back. You need to remove the cover holding the rod for the chuckguard - presto!

Thanks Ole, that worked perfectly and now I have fully a fully metric feeds and speeds plate on my machine. I just need to change the cross slide screw and tailstock.

One thing I find a little confusing is that the two charts are exactly the same, just inches vs mm. Does this mean there is a gear in the cross slide that is different between my machine and a normal machine with a metric cross slide or does the chart only refer to the long axis?
