Basically, I am wondering if anyone has ever seen one of these before or knows anything of their original purpose or history? I know of one toolmaker in the south of Switzerland (Bissone) who has encountered one before, so I assume there must be others.
Labelled:
Spindle bores: 36mm and 10mm.
Motor: Landert Motoren, 2-speed, reversing, 840/1680 rpm.
Lathe chuck: Amar 135mm, 3-jaw, two sets of solid jaws.
Keyless drill chuck: Veritas 3/8", 10mm. Made in Germany. With full thru-bore.
Compound slide: Schaublin 102 standard unit with modified base to fit T-slot.
The lathe apparently has a unidirectional clutch. That is, the 3-jaw only rotates in one direction while the drill chuck rotates in either direction.
