Anyone heard or have experience with this lathe or have an idea of what its worth?


Swedturn 14 with SMT CNC 220 Programming

Dual turret 2 axis with evacuation conveyor
Complete with manuals and tons of jaws.

Center distance=1750mm
Turning diameter=630mm
Swing over crosslide=350mm
Spindlebore=80mm
Spindle speed=0-2000rpm
Feeds=8m/min
Manufacturing year=1980's

CNC years are like dog years. A 1980's CNC centre lathe is a pretty ancient machine.
I remember seeing one in the UK about 1980, I believe they were quite popular around that time, that's all I know. I would have thought spares and service would be non-existent now.

Tyrone is about right ,the only thing I can add is that those machines were made until the 90's I think but I would say that unless you know there is a guy local to you that can look after it or you are very much that way inclined yourself I would leave it alone ,As to its' worth, scrap value less the cost of moving it to the scrapyard.
