For my first plant layout I made a sketch of the building on a grid where each square represents 3sq/ft. Laminated, you can quickly sketch locations and space requirements and make several revisions on the spot (I'm big on visual). Great tool to communicate with, get approval on & see how your work will flow through the building. Draw out on paper 20 times......do it in real life once (with minor adjustments)

To keep on topic; as for electrical: With some equipment (5 out of 13) I had the electricians add 8-12 feet of cable to allow some movement of work cells. The cost is minimal for the value of being able to 'tweak'. Couse if you think your going to get it right the first time your wrong, improvements can always be made as other equipment will be added/changed out over time.

You have a very fun project!!

FYI: Attached is not final layout
