I go to church every sunday. Mass is held in front of a cnc machine.....religiously.

Businesses that I never seen open on a Sunday morning were open this weekend of all weekends.

    ???

A 3 day weekend is a golden opportunity for many companies to due larger repairs and PM work while the lines are down. The skeleton crew you saw was probably the maintenance department.

Unfortunately I'm not working today, or any other day for that matter.

There are 2 sides to this coin, one is that those who have a day off should enjoy it. The other side if your not working, those who are appear blessed!

If you are working today, be thankful that you have a job. I hope to be working again soon, but until then I have ALL days off...and to be honest, that SUCKS!

In 24 1/2 years the only time I have been off work for more than one week straight was when I broke my ankle- 3 wks for that. I need to figure out how to take a 2 or 3 month leave. That would be really nice.

Didn't work this weekend. Didn't need to. We have just enough work to keep us busy for about 4 days.........then we're out.............unless the phone starts to ring.

I'm in the same spot. I have a bunch of 1 offs but no decent production runs (40+ pieces) at this time. Anyone need some quick turn overflow work? Shoot me an email dennis.rathi@creationsultd.com

I meant in no way to rub it the faces of people that are slow. We have a niche business doing larger sized reapir parts.

I didn't work the weekend or all this week until next Wednesday. I'm demolishing the garage at home, building concrete walls, moving a raised flower bed and laying a slab for a new garage. But that isn't work...

Over here in Blighty, next Monday is the Spring Bank Holiday and Tuesday is Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Long may she reign

    Regards
    Mark

Have you asked your old customers why they are not comming back to you?

Keep old friends.... new ones are hard to make.
