for the poster that asked I have a pretty old slow machine (mondiale gallic 420), however at max rpm and fairly high feed for roughing and sharp tools(I have some seco polished aluminium inserts) they will be super quick anyway.

So on ''a pretty old slow machine'' your'e going to at the very minimum;-

Barfeed to stop

Turn two diameters for a total distance of 70mm.

Drill 50mm deep.

Tap in 50mm.

Reverse spindle

Withdraw tap 50mm

Reverse Spindle.

Part off

Either your CAD / CAM ? whatever system is tellin porkies, or you need to find a new dealer, cos something isn't right, and if you work on that time you stated you will make sweet FA / lose money.
