14" Pratt & Whintey
Just got a new lathe 14X54 model c in unbelievable condition. I have wanted a 12" model c for years just never found one. this one came up in a lot of machines 2 Bridgeports an iron worker and a big belt sander.any one know the weight of this lathe is I have a manual for a 12"and a parts book on the 14" but they don't gave a weight I think its about 5000lbs. I need to figure out how to post some pictures I have try a number of times but never made it work i could email someone the pictures if they would post them. Thanks Ken

Super "sticky" by Paula in South Bend section on posting photos.
14 X 54 Model C catalog weight is 4325 "with regular equipment" in the November 1943 Circular 448-1

To Ken and Johnoder,
Posting pics has been getting easier and easier.
Just got to "Go advanced" hit "manage attachments" and browse to the photo locations on your computer, click click and you're done.
I used to post onto photobucket but it is a pita in comparison.
You can preview your post as well to check out the photo sizing etc.
The only thing you have to do to get good results is resize the photos before you post them onto the PM. Most programs have an edit photo section, somewhere around 600x800 seems to work. I'm sure I'll get corrected on the sizing if my memory is wrong.
Would like to see pics of your new lathe.

Great score
I'm green with envy, but delighted it has found an appreciative home!

Ken
Great score, did you get the other machines as well?
I really like the uptilt angle of the compound feed knob.
