Default Republic Lagun 1640 lathe any good??

Hello!
I've seen a like new Republic Lagun lathe 1640 for a good price.
Anybody has any experience with these lathes.
They look like they are made somewhere In asia from the way the castings look and the overall design , the label says something Like Lagun CA and that's all.
What would be a good price for a lathe like this.
Condition is like new and has DRO, 7.5hp Motor 16" swing 40 bed.
Thanks for any input.

I don't know anything specifically about their lathes, but I know their mills are made in Spain. From the few Lagun mills I've seen, I would put them on par with, or maybe slightly better built than a real bridgeport. If their lathes are built in the same plant, I wouldn't hesitate in buying one.

I agree with cdmurphy on Lagun mills.
A shop I worked at had one and it was a nice machine.
I would think lathe should be as good though Ihave not seen one.

Are you referring to the Republic Lagun lathe that is listed on the "TES Tube" auction on bidspotter.com, ending today?

This lathe is like brand new!
