Yesterday I saw an older 13" with 5' bed for sale at the Oregon State University surplus sale.

I would have been interested if I didn't already have a newer and much nicer one.

Details: It's a Model 13B serial number 101959. The motor is supposed to mount above it (as if it were originally designed for a line shaft). I doubt that the motor is any good, but it might be. The bed was in good shape, but the headstock, pulleys and chuck had a bunch of rust. They did still turn, so aren't completely frozen. The carriage had small dials and all worked reasonably well. The tailstock also appeared to be ok. The ways only had a couple of minor dings near the chuck and showed no wear. They were coated with a lot of grease, but there was very little rust on the bed.

They had a minimum bid of $200 on it. If interested I can double check that it didn't sell and get you more info if you want.
