13" star knob clutch question

So I'm in the process of refurbing a 1941 13" single tumbler. I got the clutch removed, but I was wondering about the piece attached to it. So I have the rebuild book and they call it an oil distribution washer. The one they show is perfectly round. As you see by the pictures mine is cogged. Plus mine appears to be bent, at least I assume it is. I was wondering if anyone else has a similar one on their lathe and if it's supposed to be bent.

Greg, all it does is lift oil out of the sump and distribute it around the clutch components as it spins loosely. It's a crude, but effective way to auto-oil. The design changed a little over the years. Yours is closer to my 1943 16" apron.

It definitely should not be bent or it won't roll around the shaft. That can happen during assembly of the apron. Don't ask me how I know this.
