Well Started the process of converting the crosslide from the stock small dials to large dials. since the feed screw needs to be modified anyway I resized the handle side shaft to be 1/2" instead of 5/8" so I can use a standard off the shelf bearing between the bushing and the gear on the shaft. I completed the bushing so far and have also made up a model and some plans for anyone interested in doing the conversion. I will be posting my progress and some videos in this thread as I go along.

This will be on my list of upgrades when I get my lathe assembled.
Making the dial will be interesting. Or is there a dial being reused?

I have an original dial I'm using so there will be no making that. It can be done relatively easily with some patience and an index or rotary table. Hardest part would be making a jig so the numbers are stamped straight and spaced evenly, but it can be done.
