I'm trying to remove the short shaft in front. It has 3 holes that I labeled A - B - C
A - goes down about .2. don't know what is in there or what it does.
B - goes down to the edge of the brass bushing but doesn't appear to
penetrate the brass??? not sure.....
C - has what appears to be a straight pin protruding slightly, not enough to
get a hold on. also the angle is odd.
the shaft spins freely as do the gears one of which appears to be keyed to the shaft.
any help is appreciated
Bob

IIRC, there is a non tapered pin that holds the bushing via a groove in the side (not straight through it or it would also pin the shaft.). This pin can be driven in/out either hole, though from your picture I'm not sure which ones. The third hole will become more clear once its all apart, it is the hole that drills the oil passage from the chamber above. There should also be a hole in the bushing that lines up with the oil passage on the other side of that hole you are talking about. like I said, once its all apart, it will make more sense.
