I received the serial number card from south bend. My serial on the bed lathe shows 11002RKT13.
What the card shows is 11002RKT16 with a catalog number Cl1006 Z 10 x 3 1/2 Turret RKT FLR UD.
I know how the last number in this case "16" is the model number, which is changed when modifications are made.
My serial number on the bed is 11002RKT13 the changes could have been made before shipment just not on the bed of the lathe. I asked south bend they said that was the correct serial card for that lathe number, there is only card made for each number.
Now to my question, everywhere i look i find Cl 1001, what is Cl 1006?
Cl 1001 10L QCG, UMD Floor leg turret lathe RKT
Should I be concerned when I buy parts for this lathe. I'm sure all the parts for a heavy 10 will work.
I just want to know what Cl 1006 really stands for.
