Chuck thread size ?

How do measure thread size for a new chuck?
The lathe is SB CL-178A Serial# 8508RKL14.

Measure the O.D. and count the threads per inch. Most 10l were 2.25"x8 Threads per inch. The 10K and the 9N were 1.5"x8 TPI. Hope this helps. Gary P. Hansen
