My cross slide .0005 dial with know back lash read out. The indicator stop is fully adjustable on the slide itself. The indicator tip also has a full half inch of fine adjustment. The tip is threaded 40 tpi and is very smooth to adjust.
Interesting design on the cross slide stop. I thought a stop would have a solid adjustment and a solid locator so it keeps the operator from going past it, yours seems more like a dial gage readout? What do you have to keep the indicator tip from moving under vibrations?
Dan
All good indicator have some kind of fine adjustment most are on the stands that they are mount on but mine has it built-in the tip which is very firm and smooth to adjust. Never had it move on it's own any a mount. And what vibrations are you talking about?
