Default Frist South Bend

Hi All I am looking at getting a South Bend lathe the model #811 3B ser # 150649 13inch swing . I would like to know the age of the machine or any other info .

That machine dates to spring of 1944.

Well I missed out on that lathe but found another one Model A catalogue # CL 145 ser# 4083 TLL10 Any idea of age from info .

Well did not get the second south bend lathe what the heck these lathe sit around collecting dust for years and when you show interest they get snapped up by there friends or some buddy hay thats ok . So were I think I go wrong asking to many Questions like what is the ser # ect . Or pay the asking price . Then they think they this thing must be very rare.Well I will keep looking .

Hi Keelan did you see that this summer I got two bed way grinders so I have one ready to try out and I thought the south bend 13 to 16 inch lathe would be a good one to start with learning how to rebuild.And the price to buy them seams very resonable .Found another SB lathe this morning 14 1/2 x 84 not gona say anything.
