Help- Early 13 How Do I remove the sliding primary gear to re-felt?

I don't see anything on YouTube. That's a first.
The Pic will show you what I am referring to. It's the sliding gear with the ball detent. How do I take it off the shaft??

Remove the nut on the back side of the banjo, tap shaft out of banjo.
Then continue tapping shaft out of gear.

I looked at my extra for my 10L and did not see any felt.

If I recall, you take nut off the other side of arm. Press assembly out. At that point sliding gear slips off threaded end of shaft. Ball detent spring inside, as well, but not super high sprung, just watch for pieces as it comes apart.

Prior to assembly. Orient arm to how it sits on machine. Then look at oil hole in shaft. Orient that hole so its at 12 oclock, so oil can run down hill in shaft. Same with other shafts/gears on banjo.
 
Be careful doing this- that arm is easy to break if you don't support it properly.

On edit- I see in your other thread you did just that....
