Default Help identifing change gear set

I'm trying to figure out where these change gears might have come from and what they could be used for. There are 41 gears with 100-24 teeth in 20DP with 5/8 in width and .683 in bore(maybe 11/16 bore, they are not too clean on the ID). I always assumed they were for my south bend 9 but all the compound gears I have are in 18dp and 3/8 in width. They've been in an wooden ammo box for probably 30 years and there were no other geared machines in the shop they came from. Any help is appreciated.

Forgot to mention, some of the gears have "DPC 1401" hand etched in them.

I'd like to buy them if they are for sale

("DPC" is just the usual Defense Plant Corporation)
