Nameplate refurbished

I've had several inquiries about refurbishing nameplates since I did the one on my 10L lathe. While the process can be a little tedious and time-consuming, it is possible to greatly improve the appearance of the original nameplate. If you'd like for me to refurbish your nameplate you may email for details. The cost for the gear index plate as shown below would be $50. Other plates would be less expensive. This may be more than a new nameplate in some instances, but you would be able to retain the original nameplate. To send email, just click on the "Rate Member" link at the left.

A link would be fine. I might also add that some nameplates were simply silk screened onto the plate and not etched. If the paint gets scratched off the silk screened plates there's nothing left to restore. I'm currently working on a process to produce new etched plates. I'll let you know how that works out.
