Hey everyone, just joined the board. I’ve been a lurker for quite some time. I just picked up this 1950 South Bend CL145B 13” Lathe. The Lathe has two standoffs on the back side of the bed.Im not sure if they are OEM....C75DD7ED-57FA-4FA8-B0EF-E6D67920A6DB.jpg The bed is not too warn but they did not follow the rules of putting object on the ways. Lots of little dings on the ways. She’s a little dirty but I’m going to go ahead and start using it. Have you ever seen the date of manufacture stamped in the bed?B6E77EAD-D642-4182-9DE9-41E678B29CF9.jpg9394A057-4100-4099-8D13-80C265E008D9.jpgThe Lathe came with a steady rest, follower rest, Dorian tool post and 5 tool holders,Collet Closer, 12-5C collets in a sheet metal rack,3 jaw chuck, and 4 jaw chuck. It is missing the taper attachment and has a 1hp 3ph motor. Over all very good deal at $650.7B05EEBD-AB61-4A2E-9A8B-30E947AD1EFE.jpgSorry about the rotated pics.

Not a bad deal at all as long as the lathe is in good shape overall! Never seen or heard of a manufacture date stamped on the ways personally... maybe original owner did this??? Back splash mounts sounds like a good guess. Don't believe them to be OEM. Never seen or heard of those as original equipment.

Looks like a good score!

Have fun!
