I just purchased a SB Serial # 79833 16/24 by ??
The 24" riser kit is a factory kit but added later.
The seller called it 120" bed.
The bed is 120" end to end head and all.
The bed is 96" beyond the head
About 82" Center to Center
Its in good shape and looks great sitting in by basement but what size and year do I own?

I can't tell you the year but lathes the length of a lateh is the center to center distance, it is typical to dimension lathes with riser blocks with both the unraised and raised swing by radius in the USA and by diameter in England. So you have a 16/24 X 82"

Hi There,

I'm sorry I cannot help you with the year of
manufacturer but SBL listed their lathes by
over all bed length. If you look at the tag
on the gearbox, there should be a catalog
number stamped on it and the suffix letters
will list the bed length.

Good Luck!
