Almost finished restoring my lathe and I need to figure out where it will reside.
I would like to put it up against a wall. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? My friend who owns a machine shop says this is bad because it is hard to clean behind. I have space considerations and this is what is going to work out best for me.
If so any reason not to cram it as close as I can to the wall? It is a Southbend 13" with a 7' bed.
