hello south bend experts!
a friend of mine got a 10L SB lathe, which are quite rare here in russia. he was told that it was retired from a warship some 30+ years ago and since then it was sitting unused in a military storage facility. there's no serial number at the the usual place, but he found "29424" stamped at the back on the bed under the headstock. it looks like 40s production, am i right? maybe anyone can provide any info on this machine?
