Hi,
I just bought a 8" four jaw south bend chuck and its in new condition.

On the chuck , No4207-62
South Bend Lathe WKS
Made in USA
by Skinner chuck co.

Just wonder about the age, is the - 62 for the year. Its in new condition.

4206 6" 4 jaw
4207 is a 7 1/2" 4 jaw chuck not sure about the 62
4208 8" 4 jaw...Bob

thanks, I measured it and it is a 7.5" chuck.

I have a 6" 4 yaw independent south bend chuck, made by Skinner. I says

No. 4206-51

I am guessing it was made in 1951, but don't know for sure.
