Can anyone give just a clue perhaps as to the year and model of this SBL??
A friend is likely to purchase it soon, but has little info. on it.
No quick change gears, and looks like possibly no change gears included.
Much thanks for any help with this!!:)Harolds South Bend Lathe1.jpg

late 30's model c is my guess or headstock has been changed to one from that period. Gits are on top, not front.

It is an early 9 inch workshop model C (AKA 9C). The bed missing the lower ridge and the rounded feet are indicative of a 1946ish lathe. But, the headstock is older, 1936-38 timeframe. The cabinet is from something else entirely.
