Now that my 9A is nearly ready to make chips I realize there are accessories I'd like and there are some to get rid of.

Surplus to my needs:

Telescoping Steady Rest for a 10 K- This is nice, but lacks the clamp bolt and plate

9" Bed Turret- This has been cleaned and painted, works great but does not fit my kind of work.

Item I'd like to acquire for my 9A:

A stock 9A tailstock in good usable condition

A quick change toolpost, not high end

A complete collect setup

I'd appreciate any leads to buyers or sellers that can help me out, trying to avoid E-bay

Thanks, Lou B in western NY

I too have a very nice tailstock that I purchased for my 9A, but it is too narrow for the bed and ways, so it is of no use to me.

I'm missing the point here, if your tailstock won't fit your 9A I'm afraid it would not work on mine either unless our lathes are of different vintage.

Here are photos of the tail stock. My lathe is a heavy 9, so that may be the reason the tail stock does not fit. The base is 3 7/8" wide and from the center of the V to the outer edge of the base it is approx. 3 3/8".

I'm interested in the bed turret. I have the other style, and it's too sloppy. I have a nearly complete set of collets (various brands). Maybe we can work out a deal? Sending a PM as well.
John

I think I'd prefer to sell it outright and then try to find a complete collet setup or a QCTP. I will consider offers if your interested.
