I picked up this old SB 11" 5' bed today ,correct me if I'm wrong but mid 20s Model O I believe . Serial 28160 Cat. 163 B. 3-4 jaw chucks, live center ,2 dead centers, faceplate, taper attachment. Something new to me SB wise a gap bed !! Overhead drive with "silent" chain drive 1HP 3 phase. Runs out quite nice and bed wear not terrible for the age close to the chuck. No power cross feed unless I'm missing something ,but 2 star wheels on apron .What does the one to the left of the slide feed star wheel do? Doubt if I keep it ,most likely just pass it on and make a few $$ as I bought it right.

I have never seen a taper attachment that long on a South Bend Lathe of that size.
How much travel does the TA have?
I wonder if it is original ...?

When I get it home I'll measure the TA and post the answer here. Quite a bit different from the TA on the Heavy 10 I had, this clamps the bed at both ends. Kinda blew my mind when I saw the gap bed ,never knew SB did that.
