I received this lathe when a friend called and said he was helping out a friends widow. This is a Southbend 16/24 serial #122648, 2/14/1942 i think is build date from what i found on the internet. I regret selling my southbound 13 but this so far seem to be a good replacement. I got running and have been able to make couple parts so far. I need to get more tooling and what not to so i can get more done with the lathe and rebuild that parts that need to be rebuilt but so far i am enjoying having a lathe again.
