I have this South Bend Lathe 10K that I no longer need. It is in really good condition and its clean!
Not much backlash in the leadscrews. The compound, cross slide and saddle are smooth and cleaned with No binding anywhere. The tailstock is smooth as well and also has the graduations. The lathe has 6 speeds, 3 in high gears and 3 in back gears. The lathe is 110volts 8A. single phase. Comes with the Lathe Chuck and key, Drill chuck. This lathe will accept collets if you plan to get h collet closer. There is a threaded spindle and a key in the collet taper area.
The only thing that I can see wrong is the big gear for the back gears is missing several teeth but works fine since several teeth are engaged at same time.
The lathe is about 350lbs. I can help lift but you will need to be able to lift opposite end. Lathe is ground level in my garage.
I will not hold this Lathe unless it is paid in full. I would like to move it. $450.00 picked up.
