Hello, I have a 17" Southbend lathe that I need to tear into. Does anyone have a manual for this machine or know anything about the brake. The machine is 1950's vintage. Thanks

I’m familiar with the 17” TURNADO and have some manuals.
Yours will be newer than that because they didn’t make it until the late 60’s.

No, it is a multi-disc mechanism. It is adjustable.
