I`m new to all of this so my questions on here for a while will seem stupid to some but I have to start somewhere...I know I`ll need a steady rest probably sooner then later. Should I just buy a new one from South Bend/Grizzly since they are about the same price as a original/NOS for my SB ? I don`t really care all that much about keeping all the parts original for my year lathe, which is a 1978...What are your thoughts ? If you have a steady rest to sell let me know and if we can strike up a deal I`ll get it from you...PEACE, AJ
