Just picked up a heavy 10 and while the swing capability is fine it has the shorter 3-1/2 foot bed. I'd like to swap out the bed with a longer bed from another machine. Found a longer leadscrew, bed with rack and maybe a longer cabinet. The lathe has a threaded spindle but the longer bed is from a D1-4 spindled machine. Any pit falls or problems that I should be watching for?
