tool post

I have a Heavy 10 and a Hardinge tool post that I really like. I'm looking to purchase either a 13" or 14" grizzly, will that tool post interchange between the two lathes.

You would need to make a riser block to raise it up to the higher center height on the Grizzly.... Tool posts are not that much- probably best get another Hardinge toolpost if you like them so much.

I'm not sure I like it that much, it's the expense in tooling that I have, I guess if that's interchangeable with a larger tool post I'm not opposed to buying a new one

As far as making a riser block, as long as it would be solid enough I'm not opposed to making one.

My problem, although I'm told it's not anything to worry about is I get small chatter when making threads. I'd like to eliminate it.
