Buddy of mine has an old 113B quick change gearbox, 5 foot bed, 1 inch spindle bore. Ways are decent as in not great, 3 phase motor, has the tailstock, has 3 jaw and a SouthBend 4 Jaw. Has a drill chuck, steady rest(looks to be aftermarket). It's marked Rock Island Arsenal on it. Does the marking help or hurt the value of it? And what is an old lathe like this worth?

Thanks

The small spindle bore doesn't help anything. Pictures would help. Things like a taper attachment help increase value tremendously. Ways with some wear can still make decent parts. All it takes is one person with cash in their pocket who really wants that lathe. Start high, if you don't get bites drop the price $100/month until it sells. Tax refunds will be coming out at the end of the first quarter next year. That's a great time to sell.
