What's this for?

I e-mailed this seller adn asked if this fits a 10k or a 10L, and he replied that it would fit either, 10" is 10". I know from this forum that there is a difference, but I can't tell.

Center height is important, but another important thing is the spacing of the slides for the v way and flat way. Just for kicks I checked to see if the steady rest for my 1911 13" SB would fit on my 10L. It didn't. The issue was not the center height, it was that it was simply too wide.

Check on http://lathes.co.uk and read up ont he heavy ten (10L) and light ten (10K) to see if they have the same bed spacing. I believe they don't, in which that steady rest won't fit both.

10Ks and 10Ls do have two different bed widths.

A steady for one will *not* fit the other.
