Whew, Repaint/Refurb complete - made first chips

I finally finished my 10K refresh. That was an interesting experience ;-P

Still needs to be dialed in a bit, but so far so food.

I did not grind the ways.

Stripped down to castings and replaced bushings, screws, nuts, disposables, and all the generic hardware.

Replaced motor with 1HP 3 phase VFD and new switch hardware.

So a bit more than cleaning and paint. Although that certainly took the most time.

How can it be called a rebuild if you did not grind the bed and re scrape all the ways and gibs? Nice paint job though. I would get rid of the wheels, How can you properly level it when it is on wheels?

I modified the thread title... was not clear that nomenclature had specific implications.

wheels are on leveling casters. I need to be able to move it in garage shop... can level if required.

Looks good! Having just done something similar I know there was a slight cringe when the first chips flew.

Funny how you get called out for nomenclature but we have an entire sticky thread called "restorations" and I can't find but a couple that had a bed done.
