Default fs: Monarch steady rest and lathe chucks

Hello,
I just acquired two Monarch steady rest, one I will keep for my sag14 modification and the other I will not use. I'm not sure which model lathe it fits. It measures about 6.5inches from bottom flat to center. asking $125.00 plus shipping. Next I have 3 lathe chucks which I acquired with the steady rests,a Hardinge taper spindle mount 5inch chuck outside jaws only, has a few nicks and dings, asking $75.00 plus shipping.I have a 6inch 4jaw 1-1/2x8 looks like an Atlas but not sure, also has a few dings in the casting or maybe it was casted that way I really don't know. Last I have a english made 6inch 3jaw 1-1/2x8 that looks like a Rockwell chuck, doesn't have a manufactures name but it's stamped with a model number and place of origin. asking $40.00 for the 4jaw and $60.00 for the 3jaw.
Thank You,
Tony

Default Steady

As a point of reference, the distance from the flat to the joint line of a New height steady is 6 3/4", easier to measure than the guestimate center of the fingers.

I'd like to know for sure that it is a new height. Please post the measurement that Tom described.

Jim, I guess we have a new height. It measures 6-3/4 from bottom flat to the center line were it opens. If you like pm your e-mail address so that I can get you a picture, it's much easier for me. And by the way when you say new height does this mean 10ee?

Tony

The early " round dial" 10EE's and some of the first "square dial" 10EE's had a smaller turning radius, around ?12" ?
In all the later "square dial" EE's they switched to a turning radius of 12 1/2" the "new height".

Default Hardinge Chuck

Can you give me the size of the taper for the Hardinge chuck? I'm interested if it will fit mine. I have the 4 deg taper on a 5C nose.
