Thread: unknown follower rest

hey guys,

I have a follower rest that was in the cabinet to my 11 inch rockwell lathe but when I went to try it it didn't fit. it was too large, so maybe it goes to a 13-14 inch? the mount holes are 2 1/4 apart on center. I couldn't figure out how to determine the size if lathe it would goto but if you have a lathe and the mount is 2.25 in center measure from the mount holes up to center. on this rest from the holes to approx center is 8 1/4 inches.

the only marking on is a C with an H in it and somehow I don't think it was made by the Montreal Canadians...

I spendt a little time looking without success, just slipped it under the bench to be modified or whatever. It is the same as yours casting make and all. If you ever find a maker please let me know. Tom
