Errg.....

Question about the collets as there is a flat and a keyway. Keyway kinda looks like the one for an R-8, just a locator.
Collets are threaded?
So the drawbar has a length from the collet to the back of the spindle? Assuming the holder has a thru clearance hole.
How is the receptive end of the collet holder made to match the flat on the collet?
John

jhruska after looking @ the collets I had a couple of different locking styles. 4 with the 3 flats and a few with the key like an R-8. The collet holder will only take the 3-flat style so we only have 1/2",3/8", 1/5-16" and 1/4" to go with it. I will post pictures later.

The three-flat style are likely the Gorton three sided variety. I have an identical looking B&S10 to Gorton adapter for my mill. The Gorton collets do show up on eBay. Not as common as some, more common than others.
