Anyone here have a lathe with the A1-5 spindle ???

I have a Nakamura with A1-5 spindle but a chuck to fit that plate would be hard to find or big $$

3 years ago, been on the edge of my seat ever since. Makes a great base to attach my mag indicator base.

How thick is it? could it be converted to a D1-5?

Where the studs would go, it is ~.625" and the hub for the adj-tru would have half the threads breaking through the side.
It could be converted, if it was the only thing you had, but I don't think it would be a good idea.
