proof smart companies do dumb things

36 inch tilt rotary table in local shop--tilt assist spring snapped
table came from GE Power Systems auction about 3 years ago--broke
one of 10 sold

so--if anyone has lead on replacement--I will pass on to owner

Hey Jackson take a look at the assist springs used on car trailers with attached ramps. The one tail will not have that curved shape but might get the guy out of a bind.
 
I think I've seen some dumpster lids (non-plastic) with long-armed springs on 'em, too.
Might be room for a sleeved repair, too. Can probably get away with having a short non-flexible bit.

McMaster-Carr has many different kinds of torsion springs. 2 separate springs without the connection in the middle should work. They also offer made to order springs.
