I have a Toyoda BMP-1200 with a Fanuc 18i-MB controller that is alarming out for the fourth axis, 368 - n AXIS : Serial DATA ERROR (INT).

This axis is a rotary unit that mounts to the table. I found some issues with the wiring harness and replaced it. I still had the alarm so I swapped drives. The problem still existed. I called FANUC and they said it was a bad pulse coder so I ordered and installed a new one and the alarm is still there.

I have even went as far as wiring it up on the outside of the machine to make sure that it wasnt any noise from another motor.

Can someone please help me with this, I am at a complete loss.

ok im just going by memory but check a couple of these paramaters.

setting: parameter 12

system: parameter
1005
1023
1815 apz

then setting, press page down, then softkey OPR , to turn on 4th axis (this is located below the ATC reccover CW and CCW)

I will get back on what parameter bits to look at
