Baldor 620 capacitor?

I have an old baldor 1/3 hp 620 grinder. I just picked up a new capacitor for it, but think I got a start capacitor and not sure if I need it or a run capacitor.

Going from memory it's 3 micro Ferraday, 60 Hz, 330volt, and can't remember the rest. I bought a new one which had the same #'s as the one I got with it. The machine was apart when I got it and it looks like it got smoked on the inside. Not sure if I can fix it, but I'm trying.

When it does turn on it just hums and goes about 4 RPM, so I only tried for a couple seconds.

Any help would be appreciated.

Those should have just one capacitor, no start switch. PSC type motor. (Some larger models may be different)

3 uF (microfarads) is credible for a 1/3 HP, given that some 1 HP PSC I have used needed 10 uF, but it really depends on the motor design. If your memory is of 3 microfarads, give it a shot. The baldor replacement parts data says to give the motor spec # to get correct part, no help there.
