Hello,

So my previous thread about the Webb worked out. I spent a whole day in the car going to check it out and it's in better shape than I thought. It's excellent.

So, I need to get a VFD for my belt grinder anyway, will this VFD work find with the motor on this Webb:

VFD is a 2 HP 230V Single Phase Input-230V Three Phase Output
Teco Westinghouse Model #: L510-202-H1-N
Constant Torque Sensorless Vector Drive

The motor is this:

Also, Can I safely run the VFD on full and just change the mill with the spindle step pulleys? Does running the mill on a medium speed and varying the speed down with the VFD put stress on anything I should worry about or lose too much torque?

Thanks for the help,
Nick

I bought mine from wolf automation. Their tech support guys were great. May be worth a call.

Should be fine, but you will need to check that the motor is wired in delta to suit your 230V volt VFD output. It may well be wired star if it has come from an industrial source.
