I have a new 120V 1/2 HP AC Teco VFD. Due to unforseen circumstances I will not be able to use it for a year or so. How should I store it? I can wire a plug to it and plug into a wall outlet if that would help. I've read that they can go bad if unused for long periods. Thanks for any replies.

You don't need to keep it on all the time, but plug it in every 3 or 4 months for a few hours. That should keep the capacitors healthy. If you know it will be a year or less you should be OK though.
