I have a logan lathe with a motor that the tag reads 220/440 volt, but only has 3 wires coming out of it.
tag says its a Squirell cage indiction motor. It also says " This motor will operate successfully on 208 volts.
I have 220v 3 phase with a rotary converter set up. When i turn the machine on, it doesn't really make any noise or sound like its effecting the converter.... My other machines will make the converter slow down when turning them on or off.
I'm used to 9 wire hi-low voltage motors. Is there some thing I am missing? should it " just work" on the 208 volts? I know the place it cae out of did have 440.
