I am hoping for some help on this. How do I wire this up for 120V reversible? I have attached photos for clarity. I hope they help. No diagram on motor or other markings. Can someone help on walking me through this step by step on where the wires go? Thank you all!!! John

Can the motor be even reversed?

Single phase motors with 2 pairs of wires, likely 1 pair for start winding and one pair for run winding.

Assuming the wires show on the right side of the switch are input power.
connect one pair of motor wires to the center contact on each side, and the other pair of motor wires to the top and bottom contact on the left side.

Take a picture of the end of the motor. Does it have any brushes or commutators?

This may be repulsion start, induction run.

If this is so you cannot reverse it electrically, it has to be done by shifting the brushes. An example of what to look for:

There are two fine lines scribed inside the flip-up cover, that are used to allign the
brush holder adjustment for fwd and rev.

If this is set up this way the four wires are paralleled for low voltage, series for high.

90 percent certain this is repulsion start, induction run.

Meaning, it cannot be electrically reversed. Not sure how wagner did the brush holder
on that setup but in mine the brushes are shifted around the commutator a bit to make it
reverse.

Do the brushes lift after the motor comes to speed?
